Asphalt Paving & Sealcoat Questions
Asphalt has its own cure cycle. It is recommended to sealcoat 1 year after asphalt is laid and maintain the seal cycle every 2-4 years, dependent on how much wear it sees.
High traffic areas may require sealing annually. Private driveways and less traffic areas, it is recommended to seal every 2-3 years.
We recommend allowing as much as up to 5 days for asphalt to harden but it can be driven on within 2 days of completion (if necessary).
Depending on temperature and other weather factors, it is recommended 48 hours at minimum; 72+ is ideal.
Normal weather conditions, after 4 hours. If high humidity or low sun light, it is recommended 24 hours.
Our process is to trim back all overgrown grass, clean out all cracks, clean and remove all debris on asphalt, crack fill with the hot rubber crack filler, hand trim where there is adjacent concrete, buildings, sidewalks, or curbs. We maintain a neat and clean result. We have the ability to spray or squeegee.
